Psalm 103
1. God is loving & compassionate
- Praise Him for Hs favors
v1- Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
So what happens when we praise him?
In v2-5 it actually stated that- Praise the Lord, my soul and forget not all his benefits. V3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.V4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. V5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Worship is a pre-occupation of our live.
2. God is loyal and covenant keeping
- Praise Him for His faithfulness
V16-18: V16- the wind blows over it and it is gone,and its place remembers it no more. V17- But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children- V18- with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
Lamentation 3:22-23: V22- Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fails. v23- They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
3. God is the Lord, He is in control
- Praise Him for His fulness
V19-22: V19- The Lord has established his trone in heaven,and his kingdom rules over all. V20- Praise the Lord,you his angels,you mighty ones who do his bidding,who obey his word. V21- Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,you his servants who do his will. V22- Praise the Lord,all his works,everywhere in his dominion. Praise the Lord,my soul.
